There in a tendency for the cars to feel like that ... the Trionic 7 will keep the throttle open a crack on lifting to keep the turbine spooled up, unless it sees a brake signal. It seems especially noticealbe when lifting at high load/low rpm. I find it makes such self entertainments as heel-and-toe shifting (with a manual trans) more difficult.
There is a known issue with the electronic throttle, a tendency with time and accumulated grime and wear for the potentiometers which measure requested throttle position and actual throttle position to drift out of the allowable range, resulting in the dreaded "check engine" light and the system dropping into "limp home" mode. At least, limp home gives you a direct connection to the throttle plate, so you have full engine function but the cruise, auto idle control, and traction control are inop. The cure for this problem, other than replacing the TB, may turn out to be a software update to widen the tolerance bands on the potentiometer readings.
