I did it on my '99 9-5 and it was easy. The only hard part was to make sure where to position the X bracket on which the glass rests.
DO NOT plug in the plastic roller first.
Plug it in after you have the glass in the right place and make sure that the glass rests correctly and properly in the outer weather sleeve.
I guess its not as easy as it seemded to me, but I did it all in about 1 hour. Ask a shop what they charge $$ and decide your self. the plastic roller costs about $2-3. only, at the $tealer.
