It hurts my brain even thinking about this topic. You will find a bunch of different opinions:
Some hard-core old Saabers hate anything other than 4 cylinder engines
Some people think a near-luxury car has to have a V6 and 4 cylinders are for lesser cars
Some people drive them all and pick the one they want. I realize since you are looking at used, it will be harder to drive the different engines. Performance it depends on whether you are looking at the base or the Aero 4 cylinder, they bracket the V6 in terms of performance.
Reliability- Since no one has hit 200k with either engine, although Ian is well on the way, it's a toss up.
