We all come back. I've had friends leave for BMW and Acura, they both came back. I've driven other brands and I'll never leave again. I've owned 9 total now, and am preparing to replace my wife's '01 9-5 Wagon (LPT) with an '04 Aero in August. Sounds like we leased about the same time.
All automakers have lemons. Acura, Lexus, and Mercedes are not exempt. The dealer will be more likely to help you out if you give Saab another try. They're interested in keeping you in the brand. After all, that's what this whole 9-7 thing is about.
Tell them your situation and strike a deal with them to help you with those lease end fees. On occasion, Saab Financial will let you out of your lease 3 months early. That might help. The lease incentives will be tremendous in the August time frame as well. There will be more than enough to offset your overages. Also, if the company you work for is affiliated with GM in any way, you can qualify for the GM or GM supplier discount. There more companies than you think that are on this list.
Sorry to hear that you've had a bad experience with your Aero. Other Aero owners wouldn't give 'em up for any other vehicle. I think it's rare for the Aero turbos to fail, so I'm not sure what happened there. It seems like the turbo and the cat might have been related.
