Are you having the job done at the dealer? They usually only install new cylinder heads.

What kind of damaged was done to head? Only cracked valve guides and bent valves?

The dealer doesn't sell valve guides but you can find them from after market sources.

I manage to buy a used head from English/Swedish spare in GA 1-800-241-1916

Did you have the timing belt changed at 60K service, and was it done at a Saab dealer?

The timing belt tensioner have been failing since its introduction in 1994 and severall updates has been made to it. Now I start to see and hear about the latest model tensioner failing so from now on I install new tensioner and pulleys at EVERY 60K miles service.
