Are you running the system allot with the car not running?
I have 3 amps in my trunk, 1=100W, 2=300W (Real watts). I have never had a problem with a dead battery, but I do have a 1-farad capacitor in the read before the amps to store up juice. This works very well. I have a 75amp circuit breaker up front that then goes to the back on a 4 gauge wire to the cap. then to a fused distribution block so I can individually fuse each amp and other processors in the trunk.
What ever you do please but Fuse/circuit breakers front and back, the last thing you want is a short and fried cable = fried car!!
