Lou, just to answer your question regards my "check valveless" washer system, the only difference is that the intial output may be a tad less robust, but we are talking mil seconds until the stream is full strength.
I like many others experienced washer failure, I trouble shot the system and found 3 of these check valves clogged, tried soaking them in vinegar, then stopped in at the dealer and was floored at the $ 24 quote to buy replacements.
So I post to let others know that there is the option of removing the valves without IMO noticeable negative results, and the postive side is that you do not have to be concerned ever that these valves will render your washers inoperable.
To me it was a real annoyance to have the valves fail, somewhat time consuming to service, and then be quoted an absurd price to buy the part.
Never had issues with washers before this in 34 yrs of driving, this includes some real beater hulks of cars. So be it a nit, I really do not see much real value in having these valves.
