But........It is a FREE ride! It is not too many years ago that if your car needed service,you brought it tothe dealer, and then you were on your won. There were no courtesy shuttles, no local RENTAL cars, and certainly no free loaners. When they give you a little s--tbox for a day or two,it is the cheapest cost per mile you have ever had in a loaner. I remember about 5 years ago when a friend who was a service writer at the local BMW dealership would tell me about the 7 serives customer who was " incensed" that he was offered a 325 to use for a day as a loaner. Try to keep this in perspective. The dealers all have some SAab loaner cars, it's just that the number they have is a function of their volume,and the budget. When you read all the posts here about how people seek the advice of others on how to shave 25 bucks off the cost of their $36 thousand dollar car,how can you blame the dealer for not being able to invest in more Saab service loaners?
