My 1999 SE V6 exhibited the same behaviour your AERO does. Over sharp bumps the car subtly shifted sideways. A new set of rear shocks fixed the problem.
When I had the old ones off the car, pushing down suddenly on them quickly revealed one was far easier to compress.
