Yes, the snow-capped range in the distance is the higher, back portion of the San Gabriels. The high bump is Mt. San Antonio (known around here as Mt. Baldy) 10,064 feet elevation. I took the photo at a place called Redbox Gap where the Mt. Wilson Road meets Hwy. 2.
The Aero was purchaed from Continental Motors in Oceanside, CA. Jim Alford handled the sale. I'm very pleassed with transaction, they treated me with intelligence and respect.
Here's another shot from further up the Mt. Wilson road near Eaton Saddle. If you look toward the upper right corner you'll see the white dome of the 100-inch Hooker telescope used by George Ellery Hale to discover distant galaxies.
