Well I guess I was just being a big whimp :)
I got it to work with no problem. Just pushed the powered end into the fuse box where 'ventilated seats' would be if I had them. Found a ground area tucked behind the fusebox, but it's really tough to get to, and the post where the other grounds are screwed to might be a bit too wide to handle the one on this cord, by looking at it. Searching around for a better area. Might have to take off that bottom panel under the driver's side of the dash to have easier access. They sure make it tough, but on the other hand it's nicer than a bunch of wires just dangling over your feet.
