I am shopping for a Saab in the Detroit MI area. I started out looking at '96 - '98 NG900 Turbo Manual's (My price range was in the <$6000 range). I have looked at a few cars and it seems like the good ones go pretty quickly. Most of the cars I have looked at are in the 100K mileage range. I have also seen a couple of '99 9-3's and 9-5's in $8000 range with 50-75K miles. The question is should I spend the extra $2000 for the newer model with less miles? Based on looking at the Boards, there is a lot of talk in the NG900/9000 boards about fixing the cars (which is fine - I like to have that type of support) whereas, the 9-3 and 9-5 boards have very little discussion on repairs (or trips to the dealer). Sorry for cross posting but, I would like input from both groups.
