Oil changes are cheap and its best to get those wear metals out of the engine while its still breaking in.
My vote goes to Castrol Syntec 0W-30 "Made In Germany" but M1 0W-40 would be fine too.
If you're gonna do your own oil changes buy some Saab OE filters from e-Europarts.com and get a few extra copper drain plug washers. Maybe an extra drain plug would be a good idea too, just in case.
