Just installed EBC green pads, will squealing go away?

Just replaced OEM front pads with EBC green stuff on my '03 9-5 Arc at 20k miles. I didn't turn the rotors, as they are in very good shape with no significant grooving. There was no new shim with the EBCs, and I didn't reuse the old ones (I think this was OK). I bedded in the EBCs per discussions here (a dozen hard braking runs 60-5 mph, last 5 a'smokin). Brakes felt incredibly linear and consistent on the last 7-8 stops, even when they were really smoking. A couple hours later, I went for a short trip and heard the dreaded squealing. How long can I expect this squealing to continue? Any remedy (i.e. another burn-in session, new shims, patience, etc.)? Thanks...
