This is the active ingredient which cleans crud off of fuel injectors, valve stems and tulips, and (with a high enough dosage rate) in combustion chambers. None does it better than Techron, though other foks on this board like BG-44K and Redline. Make sure to get the "fuel system cleaner", not just the "injector cleaner", and these are typically diluted to a cheaper price point.
As a precaution, if you want to use more than 1 large bottle (20 oz), I suggest changing oil one tankfull after the second bottle. Cylinder blow-buy will result in additive accumulation in the crankcase, which could (emphasize could) lead to sludging of the motor oil. Again, just a precaution.
