These numbers are always squishy...I know it's not '04, but Saab says in the '02 Aero lit that it 'still' does 155, but their tech docs say 150 for the m5 and 146 for the slushbox in '01. Speedo error will be so gross up there anyway it'll be hard to tell. Strangely, the tech docs only explicitly mention the V6 and auto Aero as being limited.
In other words, it can fly. As said here before, on good tires, it feels good, too. In practical terms, yes, worry, you'll see triple-digit speeds without realizing it, on a consistent basis. Such is an Aero (happy sigh)
I can't find tech docs for later Aeros/Arcs, etc...but I'm starting to think none of it is 'really' limited...it's a little white spec sheet lie ;)
An aside on that subject...the 99-01 LPT is known to be good for 140 but it has a WIS listed top speed in 99 of 124. That's the engine that's rated at 170HP but somehow dynos like a 185...
