9-5 muffler is not as easy to replace as others have indicated. The rear section of exhaust is attached by a flange at the back of the cat, but is about 3/4 of the car in length. The replacement muffler is just the very rear of this section. You must cut the old muffler off with a chain cutter, hacksaw or sawzall. The new muffler slips over the old pipe and is clamped on. I set the new muffler against the old system to get the correct cut point. Remember to allow for some of the old pipe to fit into the new section.
