'03 Arc Wagon here...

It's like the "instant hot water" tap in the kitchen sink. I railed against it when my wife insisted on it. What decadence. Now, I cannot see having a kitchen without it. I draw the line at ice cubes from the fridge door, though.

Same with the venti seats. Lord knows you don't "need" them. But...are they a nice touch on warm days? Do they make long trips in the summer less fatiguing? Does your passenger appreciate it NO END (especially when you turn it on after a few minutes of driving...cool!)? It's just another touch to let you arrive at your destination fresh and ready to go. Definitely a luxury and completely up to you. Same with bi-zenons, HK sound system, dimming mirrors, etc. The whole package treats you very nicely.

Just use a light touch. It's best if you keep the setting down low enough so that you're not aware it's working until you turn it off and start to sweat.

I'm pretty sound sensitive. If it's warm enough to need the venti seats, the air conditioner will generally mask the low setting on the seats and still allow me to hear Bonnie Raitt breathe between the lines.

Greg

PS: Just got back from judging dogs in San Juan, PR. Great, relaxing time. But only saw one Saab (9-3) the whole trip: last day on Isla Verde in SJ. Now there's a market for venti seats!

Also: best kept secret in PR: the great coffee!!!!
