I understand your cocern for the enivronemt, but please think about and answer these questions first before getting on my case.
-Do you buy plastic things? Do you know how they make plastic things; espcially the ones from China or Mexico where they do not have environmental controls?
-What about paper use that? Ever heard of arsenic? Chlorine?
-Printed circuit boards; know how they make those? Do you own any?
-Leather. Have any of that? Most leather is cured with nasty chemicals.
-GASOLINE. Do you use that? Do you know what happens when you pump that stuff? Do you know how they make it? Ever see a refinery? Ever breathe near one?
-Steel; been to a steel plant? Alumnium; ever been to a smelting plant or foundary?
-Tires; ever smell a synthetic rubber factory?
-Foam? Use that? Do you know how the bubbles get there?
-Beef, Pork. Eat that? Do you know how much methane they fart? Do you know how much chemical waste is created when it rains and their crap runs off into the water table? Do you know how much fertilizer and water they use to grow the corn to feed the animals? Ever see a fertilizer or pesticide factory. Know what happens when they leak?
-Do you turn off the water in the shower when you are soaping up? I do. What about brushing your teeth. Do you use shampoo, dish soap, laundry soap, car wash soap? Know what happens when that gets into rivers.
-Batteries. Use those? Know about Mercury?
-Glue, paint, nail polish, all of these substances are nasty.
I could go on and on and on. Nothing in this world is free. Everything we use requires energy to create, natural resources and pollutes the earth. Sure we need to be careful with the environment, but do not fall into the trap of jumping on some politcally correct bandwagon, without first looking at your own use of the worlds resources.
