Long-term Parking, Alarm & Battery life??

Does anyone know how long you can leave a 9-5 with the alarm set and still have enough juice to start it when you get back? The alarm on a 9000T would drain the battery in less than 3 weeks (parked in my garage so I know the alarm didn't go off and suck up the battery).
I had to leave the car at the airport with the alarm off (locked the doors from open rear door). Not a very satisfactory solution, but much better than returning at night in foul weather to a dead battery.
Anyone with long-term 9-5 parking experience?
