Earlier this week the paint on my hood emblem finally came off, after 62,500 miles (the car is always covered). I found the replacent on eeuropearts.com but was wondering exactly how you replace this. Has anyone done this before? I assume the old emblem is just stuck on the paint...but how do you pry it off w/out damaging the paint/hood? Any help is appreciated.
Secondly, are any of you familiar w/ the small plastic (rubber on later model years) pieces just above the black C-pillar pieces on the exterior of the car? I have a pic somewhere on my comp, if no one knows what I'm talking about. These have corroded on my car and while washing the car earlier this week, the driver-side passenger door trim piece stuck to my microfiber mitt and pulled right out. I had heard these were a real pain to replace, so I'd been putting it off. Does anyone have the part # for these parts and has anyone replaced these before? Again, any help would be greatly appreciated.
Jim
