Taking the good advice of AeroLady and others, I had the rolling lock function activated via Tech II. This function causes all doors to lock automatically at about 7 mph, even in reverse. The only irritation so far is with unlocking the doors: only the driver's door automatically unlocks when the key is removed from the ignition switch - all the other doors must be unlocked manually or by the central lock/unlock switch.
Getting down to the scurrilous attack: my wife was in the passenger seat resting her arm on the door frame next to the window when the door automatically locked at 7 mph. The plunging lock button pulled her skin with it down into the door frame, resulting in an "OUCH" and a small blood blister. Wife shows me the damage and says "this is from your *wonderful* car...." And she wasn't satisfied when I said I was only thinking about her safety to begin with. AeroLady, could this be a sign that she is jealous of this car? JT
