to keep the inner washer on the bolt, then clip the floss and remove it after getting the bolt started by a couple of threads.
I haven't tried this idea yet but will report after changing my pulleys. I also plan on laying a couple of shop towels on the sub-frame to prevent a dropped bolt or washer from falling into one of the sub-frame openings. At least two people have had this misfortune.
