The partial kit covers less of the front than the full kit, but neither covers the sides. You do get some little pieces for the rear edges of the doors, and some cars (not the 9-5) get scuff pieces at the door handles. To see a full sized image of the kits, click the "+" button. When the small image appears, click it, and you will download a full-sized PDF image that is easier to interpret.
Expect the front facing surfaces and lights to be covered...that's it unless you want to order custom ($$$!) pieces.
The Aero really needs a set of 4 scuff pieces for the top of the side skirts, since they are so vulnerable to shoe damage, esp if you have kids. They are not included in the StonGard kits, so I installed 2 inch wide strips of heavy, clear 3M urethane that I got from Griot's Garage.
A cosmetic hint with StonGard: if you have a dark colored car, the white wax lines will show up _very_ badly if you don't remove the excess wax immediately after application. If you let it dry, then try to remove it, you risk scratching the film or the paint. I go around the edges of the pieces with a fingernail, then carefully buff the edges with a soft cloth to remove as much of the extra wax as possible.
If you do have dried wax that won't come off easily, the next time you wax the car it will soften and come off easily, so don't panic.
Yes, it is a HELL of a lot of additional labor at wax time, the price you pay for having all those additional edges to hold the wax. If you have a light colored car, it probably won't ever bother you. If the car is black, it will drive you crazy unless you get rid of the esxcess wax promptly.
As far as those photos StonGard uses to show off their kits? I am positive none of those cars were ever waxed!
