I have one, and love it. Mine has 62k, and the only two things that mine has needed is a CV clicked back into place, and a power steering hose. The CV joint issue I think came with the car, and luckily I got it taken care of right away. The hose was just dumb luck, i still have the old hose. Next time the car is on the lift I will investigate the how and why of that.
The car is very comfortable, quiet (except fot the growl of the sport exhaust >:), fast and it looks sharp. It's black and I keep it pretty clean.
I bought the aero vs a regular 9-5 so I wouldn't have to mod it to get the power I wanted. And for now, I am keeping it stock. I have an 88 900T to blow up.. er i mean mod :). But when I do start modding, I will make sure to have a little cash reserv, just in case I need a new engine or tranny or somethiing like that. That is not a knock on these cars at all, it is just common sense I think.
It sounds like you want a reliable car. The 9-5 isn't a Camry or Accord, but it is pretty good(You hear about all the bad stuff that happens here, I will be getting me a spare DI Cassette when fundage allows). And a ton more fun! Heck even consumer reports thinks so. When you start modding a car, you push stuff to the limit. And therefore reliability might go down. Just be aware of that. To get 275 hp out of an Aero, all you need is a G, and you can buy a chip from taliaferro. Now you have to look at the cost of comparable cars and ask yourself is this one worth extra for all this stuff, and is so how much. Oh, and don't forget to get the car checked over by a reputable indy or dealer. They know to look for stuff in places that you don't.

Hope this helped,
-Luis
