you say set the meter to AMPS. to me that means I have an ammeter and would check for current while car is running. do you mean set the meter for resistance/impedence OHMS and check for impedence? what impedence should I see for a good alternator winding (at the battery terminals with battery disconnected - and also at the alternator with alternator disconnected?)
so the VR comes out/off the alt easily w/o having to pull the alternator?
