92 9000CD. bought at 111k, currently at 133,: I love the power and GT feel of this athletic car. Yet it doesn't feel the same as the less powerful, yet more nimble 02 9-5 Linear wagon.
The seats in the 9000 fit my 6'4" frame better in thigh support. The steering wheel tends to be a reach, since the 9-5 has the adjustable feature...overall the 9-5 is more of a fit for the lumbar and reach to the wheel.
The heritage is there, absolutely. The 2.3 turbo engine is too cool!
I drove the 9000 today for the first time in 9 months, and I was surprised at how it took me a while to get used to the slower steering and slower response to steering imput. After 20 miles, I still felt a bit off in my connectedness. Surprised me. 9000 is great on the highway, though, and I almost prefer the solid feel of the 9000 sedan to the 02 wagon...less "boomy" resonance? Don't know what a 9-5 sedan feels like, so???
