I have read the previous posts and I know that the 235 tire fits on my 17X8 BBS RK wheels. There's a link at the bottom of the post that many of you might find helpful. You can change the aspect of the tires from what it was stock, to what you want to put on and it tells you how fast or slow your speedometer will read. A 235/45/17 is 1.4% too slow and when the speedo says you're going 60, you're actually going 60.9. Not a huge difference. If you look at a 235/40/17 the speedo reads 2.3% too fast, and when it says 60, you're actually going 58.6. So a 45-series tire seems to be the way to go. Problem is, I thought the general rule was if you increased your tire width, you should decrease your sidewall. Someone please help explain this to me. Are all of you that have 235 tires running a 45-series tire, as well? Also, have you noticed any more squirm upon turn-in, or don't these width tires bubble off our wheels (I hope not).

Lastly, if any of you would be so kind as to post a pic or two of the tires on your car, it would be much appreciated. I'd love the wider footprint of a 235, but don't want the sidewall to look bigger (b/c that in effect will make the wheels look smaller). Thanks in advance for your help/advice.

BTW, thinking of going w/ the Toyo Proxes T1-S for the car.

Jim
