Think about where the coolant goes:
1) into the water pump
2) into the engine
3) into the radiator
4) into the expansion tank
5) into the heater core
If you see no leaks, then I'd rule out the water pump, expansion tank, and radiator.
If the engine has a leaking head gasket, it will burn up coolant internally. This will usually be accompanied by white smoke from the exhaust. Remove all spark plugs. Are any wet? Are any much cleaner than the others? If so, suspect a head gasket leak.
If not, suspect the heater core. Saabs are notorious for bad heater cores. Do you smell a sweet smell when you turn on the heat? Many on this board swear by "Bars Leaks"... add it to the coolant and let it run around for a few hundred miles. This often seals up the pinholes in the heater core.
