A/C issues - am I really being too picky here?

Warm (88-90F) and sunny yesterday and today in my part of L.A. I went out to run errands for 20-30 minutes in the new 2004 Aero. With the ACC on "LO" the whole time, the car did not cool off.
So I got out my trusty temp probe and drove a 10-mile test loop, then did the Saab A/C test again on each of our three Saabs under the same weather conditions, and this was the coldest temp I observed in the center panel vent of each:
1996 900SET 41F (last A/C service 9/2002)
2002 9-5 Linear 40F (last A/C service never)
2004 9-5 Aero 52F
So, am I beeing too picky, or am I just supposed to park my brand new Aero and take my trusty old 900SET out on hot days when I don't want to sweat all over the leather?
Geoff says, "Not at these prices." Back to the dealer it goes tomorrow, beginning 24th day and 5th visit for warranty repairs.
By the way, my wife's 2002 Linear has been absolutely perfect since the day it was delivered, so I know Saab can do it right....
