but based on 4 years of college in Boston and a lifetime in New England, here's a little secret ...
lobster, is lobster, is lobster. It's either boiled, broiled, baked or stuffed. It tastes the same everywhere, esp. since the melted butter is so integral a part of the process. Choose location based on price and ambience, not quality of lobster - it won't vary.
Everyone will tell you to go to Legal Seafood, which is a nice place with a good variety of seafood but the wait can be killer. Again I say, get lobster wherever the spirit moves you. Now other types of fish and seafood, that's where you can tell the diff in style and quality of preparation. You'll also find that chowder varies from place to place.
