This drain plug is difficult to find.
Look at the face of the tranmission that connects to the engine. At the extreme lower edge of this face you will see a 24mm hex head drain plug. The head is only half as thick as a normal bolt head and is partially guarded by cast in bosses on the case.
You will need a 24mm open-end wrench to open it as there is not enough room to use a socket wrench. You may have to give the plug 1/6 of a turn, then flip the wrench to give it another 1/6 turn, etc. because of the case contours. Luckily you only have to flip the wrench once or twice before the drain plug is finger loose. No replaceable gasket on the plug, IIRC it uses an O-ring. No filter or replaceable screen in the transmission either - the early Owner's Manuals had a misprint that might have been corrected by now.
You will only drain out 3 to 4 quarts of transmission fluid. Add three quarts of new fluid through the ATF dipstick tube, then check fluid level before adding any more.
Have fun!
