Got a new Arc wagon; a few questions...

I was the one who posted that somewhat wild (western Mass) dealer story about 2+ weeks ago who was trying to get my hands on a laser red arc wagon from Kentucky.
Ended up leasing my car from Mainline Saab in Penn. with a LOT of help from this board. Thanks very much for that. Pretty good dealership as well.
A few questions about the car (laser red/beige/prem pack/xenon/auto):
1) SID Display - I did a search and it seems to me that the '04s display sort of 'fades in and fades out' when it wants to depending on sunlight. Seems true. Dash remains constant with all other backlights, but info display seems to have mind of its own. Anyway to keep this full strength all the time?
2) Stereo and CDRs: Manual states to not use CDRs because this may cause 'overheating'. Again did search and played a few with no problems (GREAT stereo by the way). Is there a long term hazzard with this with the in-dash cd player and how about a rear 6-disc changer if i put one in?
3) love the chirping when things lock but has anyone had dealer reduce the volume of this with Tech I or II programming? (Mine seems pretty loud). Also can you set it up so it does NOT chirp when you open the hatch. seems like overkill.
4) Opinions on winter mats? Either Saab OEM rubber ones (grey or tan only) or Saab OEM 'all weather' ones (grey only). Any experience here?
I'll stop there. If a specific search is applicable just mention that.
Thanks again.
