If it doesn't work out with AeroJT...some alternatives

I've gotten out of lease before with swapalease.com. Not entirely painless but effective. However, I had to enhance the deal with $1,000 for someone to take it over. So I lost some more money there as well.
Other alternatives:
1) Find out payoff, buy car and then sell car yourselves. It's not a great option but it IS an option but takes a lot of money up front.
2) Speak to EVERYONE you know about the car and have a monetary number in mind of how much you want to 'sweeten the deal'. Basically its: "I paid all the fees up front, heres some MORE money, so in effect your payment is XXX." But it on ebay (only thing is buyer will have wait certain number of weeks for title), swapalease, this site, etc... Put sign in car etc...
3) Simply turn it into the dealership and they will sell it at auction and you have to pay difference between retail and auction price. Also not great option but it exists.
Anyway you slice it, besides someone simply taking it over, its gonna cost money. However, there ARE ways out. Just dont get discouraged.
My friend had Mimi Cooper S with every option in the book. Put down low start up payment, and had a healthy monthly payment. Had a surprise baby, car too small. He hustled and spoke to everyone and listed it everywhere and someone finally bit and took over the lease.
Good luck. Hope this helps.
