You can search for SMBC here and 9-3 BBs.

SMBC is a series mounted MBC. This MBC has its vent orifice blocked and is installed between the turbo compressor hose barb and the BPC. So the ECU still controls peak boost pressures. The SMBC is adjusted to not allow any air flow to the BPC at lower boost pressures. This allows the turbo to spin up faster by preventing the wastegate from spilling exhaust gas energy during spool-up. So boost comes on much faster, and not-linear. Turbos are non-linear in character, so get used to it :)

The boost response will be much improved. You can get the boost up a bit in the first 2 gears. But not much point in a setting that spins tires or taxes the traction control systems. Some get carried away with the edjustment and intent of the SMBC and force up the boost way too high. The intend of the SMBC is NOT to increase the peak boost pressures. That can lead to CELs or transient limp home modes.

SMBC can be use on T5 and T7 systems. MBC, MBC+A can only be used on T5 systems.

Ball spring type MBCs must be used. As the turbo is now spooling up as fast as it can, it is sensitive to changes in the intake and exhaust. With the MBC or SMBC, a low restriction air filter will make a big difference. With a stock system the effects of the air filter can be lost in the controller induced boost lag.

The install is fast, easy and reversable.
