1)if anyone can give advice before I go into dealer tomorrow, thanks. I found and checked the freon level. was at the often discussed 45 so I guess OK?
2)other thing checked was temps going out of vents. coolest I could ever get a reading down to was low 50s on pass side, maybe 60F on driver side while A/C fan was on very low, higher temps about 70F when fan on highest.
3)I'm guessing the heating/water pipes coming into the heater control valve are the two silver lines on the pass side foot area around the evaporator housing? if so, I checked the temps with a multimeter on those: with AC running one line was 135F and the other 105F. with heat running one was 165F and the other about 130F. seem OK? or is the 105F line (I'm guessing the return which should be cooler than supply) too hot? it is 90F outside temp here in FL and I've been running car on idle in driveway in sun a lot this morning. I'd suspect some higher temp on the return line even not in use just b/c linked to engine compartment. no?
