2002 9-5, why all the negativity? Posted by Paul [Email] (#792) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Paul) on Fri, 6 Jul 2001 17:46:40 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Ok I was the first to bemoan Saab for not promoting the new car but lets look at the car itself......
A/ It still looks like the 'old' 9-5 which is only a good thing ( except for that grille which I dont like ) and isnt likely to piss off owners of existing 9-5s thinking they have an 'outdated' car.
B/ Saab has now given all 9-5s the Aero suspension which Aero owners and numerous official tests will tell you makes the car a dream to drive and the 2002 Aero is supposed to have an even sportier set up. Watch out BMW!
I give them Saab 10/10 for effort.
C/ We now have what appears to be a big range of interior options and colour combinations a la Audi so we can make our 9-5 what we want, i.e.
choice is what the consumer likes.
D/ The new 5 speed auto, which is not a GM unit but the same unit used on other well-regarded luxury imports, built by Asin-Warner.
E/ Some super-cool alloy wheels and the addition of xenon headlights which seem to turn-on some folk but they just blind the hell outta me! (The lights I mean)
F/ Even better safety, just in case some moron in an SUV hits you.
Need I say more, I think Saab has done a great job on the '02 9-5. Now all they need to do is tell the world this is one damned good car!!!
