FIRST POST
My '02 Linear wagon (29k miles) was at the dealer on Monday for its first ever repairs.
First the drivers side window repair for rattling, then the rear ac/heat vent was not working.
Apparently for the second repair they removed the glove box. I picked the car up at night -- and did not notice anything.
But in the day time -- there are 2 marks -- look like pry or crowbar marks right above the glove box door -- 1 under the vent, the other maybe 6" - 7" to the left. These marks are about 3/4" wide (perhaps a bit less).
Looks really bad -- my question is -- is the dash pad flexible enough to give in the heat to come back to its original shape?
I am waiting for a call back from the dealer.

After having removed a few hundred gloveboxes in 9-5s I am suprised they could have managed to dent the dash. The good news is a little time with a heatgun will pop it back into shape
U P D A T E
dealer denies everything. says that someone must have pried the glove box door open with a crowbar (but NOT them!).
this is utter nonsense -- if that's so -- then why are there no corresponding pry marks or scratches on the glove box door or the box itself? (and I doubt that Saab sells so many 2002 grey 9-5 glove box doors that there are any unaccounted for!)
I am the only driver of this car. It is locked all day, parked in a private garage. Never had anything happen to it. Only serviced by Saab dealers.
I am very upset about this --
Patprice mentioned a hot air gun would pop it out -- will this do the trick? Could a neophyte like myself try this with a hair dryer (without melting the dash)?
This weekend I'll write a letter to Saab USA and the owner of the dealer.
There is NO reasonable or possible explanation other than this happened, ok maybe accidentally, at the dealer.
