Is your question the same as albanysaab's?

As Dick said, no, syn won't reduce an existing leak. The only thing I've found which will do that is Auto-Rx, & then only if the seal isn't damaged.
I think albanysaab's question is more along the lines of, "Will syn do a better job of AVOIDING turbo seal leaks in the future, when compared to conventional oil?" The only "data" I can provide is either anecdotal or theoretical. Don't forget that the best engine protection comes from maintaining a film of oil on all moving parts. Since syn oils break down less, coke/carbon less, & provide superior film strength (thereby allowing the turbo bearings to wear less & maintain proper tolerances longer, so the seals aren't stressed/worn), then reason/logic would indicate that the use of syn oils would extend turbo seal life.
