Here's the verbage.... Posted by Mike Lynch [Email] ![]() ![]() In Reply to: 2001 9-5 CPO.....What's covered..?, SilverAero, Tue, 3 Aug 2004 09:32:46 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
6 years or 100,000 miles from the original in-service date....satisfy care and service requirements.....Refer to the new vehicle warranty for other limitations.
Exclusions include but are not limited to minor adjustments, wiper blades, drive belts, brake pads and rotots, clutch discs, tires and all othe exclusions as described in the new vehicle warranty, plus batteries, telematics and audio equipment.
Yada, yada, yada.....It tells you what's not covered and everything else is covered. That's "Bumper to Bumper" style warranty, pretty much the same as the new car warranty except for the specifically named exclusions or what's technically called an "exclusionary" waranty. And it's a zero deductible.
Just for example, the BMW CPO warranty is a "named component" warranty. The groups of components, engine, transmission, electrical, etc., all have long sublists of covered components. If it ain't on the list it ain't covered, which is more often than not. And the BMW CPO has a $50 deductible per covered repair.
