Installed EBC GreenStuff pads on the front of my '01 Aero and the wife's '04 9-3 Linear a few weeks ago. Both of us were tired of the need to clean the alloy's atleast every week. Also, the 9-3 (with 3K miles onit) squeeked terribly for the past few months. The dealer was willing to change-out the pads but still would have had the dusting problem.

Anyway, I followed the directions for "Bedding" the pads that was included with the pads. It was not as severe as in the stoptech website and seems to have donbe the trick. They recommended a half dozen (+/-) stops from 40 MPH of increasing severity. On the Aero, I smelled the organics being driven out of the pads. No odor from the 9-3. In normal driving, you can't decern any change in braking performance. However, start "Stomping" on the brakes and the EBC pads come into their own. Brake pressure with the OEM pads used to go up drastically after 10 or so rapid stops from 60 MPH ( done on the local parkway around midnight). The EBC's show better performance as they're used.
It has been 3 weeks since I did the brakes in that time the rear wheels are covered with brake dust while thefronts are spanking clean. The next step is to fit the EBC's to the rear brakes.
Good Luck
