We have had our new wagon for 3 weeks. Karen has it on a business trip. We have tried everything to make it stop. When it goes over 75 it starts to chime and only stop when back down to 74.

We have the speed setting at zero and have used clear so that the '*' does not show up in the display... as the manual states. Checked the manual for the 03 and it states the same stuff.

This is the new SID, manufactured by Lucas. The font and color is a bit different, as are some of the sounds. The turn signal noise is much better. So perhaps this problem is restricted to the new Lucas module. Might be defective or some documentation problem. Also, when you set the speed warning 'speed' number, it is restricted the range of 0 to 75, and will not go higher.

Karen is on the road now on a 4 hour run and waiting for Saabnet to come to her rescue!

I did read prior threads on this. Someone did report same problem as I describe Feb 2002, but that was the old SID. So that suggests that the sid is only the messenger and that another module is at fault or there the SID is not able to tell the other module about the changed settings.
