If your 2001 haven't had any updates done before it could be something like below depending on what engine you have.
Support for Tech 2 special function to detect Ignition Discharge Module failure. Improved control of ignition trig drivers to protect Ignition Discharge Module. Cold engine protection implemented. Improved CC tip in / out. Improved knock detection
More robust and increased diagnosis of fault related to the throttle housing. More robust knock detection signal, decrease the risk for engine power loss. More robust function of ignition retard. Re calibration of catalysator diagnosis, decrease the number of incorrect MIL indications (B308E). Re calibration of the throttlehousing to avoid engine power loss at driving at haigh altitude (B308E).
