Am looking at a 2001 9-5 Wagon for around $20K for wife - wants me to do the shopping. I've a 2004 9-3 I got this spring and am quite happy, so it seemed natural to look used....spacing out so we don't have two 11-year-old cars dying at the same time again. Car seems in great condition. Still under warranty. Consumer Reports Frequency of Repair ID's the electrical system as weak point on this particular year - which seems to get cured with the 2002 year models. Love to hear what that refers to....last time I ignored it I got into a car that started only when it felt like it. Had more personality than I think I need. Electrical problems out the wazoo. Just don't need them.
What other things should I look for? Or should I just look at another new car if they're really knocking $9K off the price!!!!! Wow!
Appreciate any insights. Thanks!
