you've probably got a long way to go on the lemon law front. In California, for example, to meet the statute's requirements the original owner needs to document, within the first 18 months or 18,000 miles, either
a) two or more unsuccessful attempts to repair a single serious safety-related problem ("a condition that is likely to cause death or serious bodily injury if the vehicle is driven") under warranty provided you have complained at least once to the manufacturer, OR
b) four or more unsuccessful attempts to repair a single non-safety-related problem under warranty provided you have complained at least once to the manufacturer, OR
c) more that 30 days off the road for any warranty repairs.
Do an internet search for the words lemon law and your state's name and you will see dozens of "helpful" lawyers' sites that will explain your options.
