Use a digital multimeter and check that the sensor base is a true ground. If not, back it out a wee bit, fold over some wet/dry sand paper, brighen metal in that gap and reseat it. The sensors use the exhaust system for a signal ground. You might find a resistance in the exhaust system itself. You can chase that down and deal with that. Engine grounds need to be good too. If you have to chase down a resistance, brighen metal as you go as required for good contact with the meter probes.
When a sensor base contact is resistive, seating a new one will solve the problem... when the old one was perfectly good.
