When I was there in June, one of the women drivers came with her husband. He sat in on all the classroom parts and rode along to the driving. We were only 5 people and 3 cars per "team," so sometimes he rode shotgun when his wife was driving. Otherwise, because it was hot (100-110F), he sat in a spare car with the A/C running the rest of the time.
It depends, though. I have thought about sending my wife, and if so I would probably let her enjoy it without me watching.
Maybe there will be a track weekend going on and you can void your insurance policy by tossing your wife's wagon around the road course for two days with all the testosterone-fueled dentists and rich kids in their $100,000 Porsches.... We saw one of them total his shiny new Porsche in the tight turn behind the wet skidpad area. It was scrap.
