OK. Here are some obscure questions (that perhaps only Mr. Lynch is qualfied to answer.) Just purchased an '04 ARC wagon. Among the accessories purchased were the rubber cargo mat and the ashtray kit. Here's the deal.

The cargo mat delivered with the metallic silver car was black. No big deal except that the cargo mat in a steel gray car in the showroom when we first looked at our car was gray, closely matching the interior gray of the car. (My wife, our salesman, and I all agree we saw the gray mat.) Now the dealer says that we can have any color we want as long as it's black, that Saab doesn't make any other colors. (We can't check the car in the showroom since it was sold two days later.) Does anyone have a Saab rubber cargo mat in any color other than black? (I know I can get a third party mat in gray.) I know...if this is all I have to be concerned about...

But it isn't. We also ordered the ashtray kit for the car. The Saab catalog lists two versions; one is characterized as "light walnut/grey interior," the other as "dark walnut/grey interior." We ordered the "dark walnut" since the ARC walnut dash appears to be "darker" than the Linear's. The ashtray kit that arrived perfectly matches the Linear's walnut rather than the ARC's. The dealer is stumped. Does anyone know if the walnut interior in the Arc is actually "lighter" than the Linear's, at least according to the meaning of "light" and "dark" in Sweden?

That is all. So far, the DIC is working perfectly.
