I’ve looked long and hard for a recent 9000 before “settling” on a 9-5 Aero when I needed to replace my old ’92 9000S.
The 9000 is more practical car (hatchback, more robust trim both inside and outside). It is in many ways the ultimate SÙV.
The 9-5 is a more refine and subtle car. It is also less eccentric. I find it more comfortable, quiet. I have an Aero now so it is also much faster.
In my experience if you drive a 9000 after having used a 9-5 for a while, you will find the 9000 to crude and noisy.
Oh, and the folding cup holder in the 9-5 fascinates small children.
