I am asking (desperately) for anyone that has had this problem resolved to please respond. This has been an issue that stumped me, the dealer and an indedependent mechanic. There have been numerous posts on this BB but none of the solutions I found have worked.

The car is a 2001 Aero 9-5, 5 speed with 54K, CPO to 100K.

The issue is basically a knocking sound/feel of something shifting that comes from under the front end of the car while turning. Usually comes when accelerating from a stop and making a right hand turn (although now left hand as well). Now, I can occassionally hear it when turning the steering while stationary. This is different from the "tap" that one occasionally feels on the steering column, which seems to be resolved by lubricating the steering column at the base or around the telescoping joint.

Fixes so far:
New sway bar links
New front wheel bearings
New ball joints
New bottom and top engine mounts
Checking and tightening the suspension
New locknut at the base of the steering column
Lubricating the steering column

None of the above has solved the problem and it seems to be getting worse.

Everyone I've been to, or talked to, seems to be doing their part (the dealer and mechanic have been remarkably helpful and patient) but to no avail.

I know this isn't an isolated problem. Am really interested in seeing what the different solutions have been for people.
